I'm not sure if this is right place to put this, but this was the closes category I could find. My SO aren't necessarily TTC, but we aren't preventing per se. He had a vasectomy 14 years ago, but never had his counts checked afterwards. We both want another child (he has 3 from a previous marriage, I have 2 from a previous relationship), but we haven't decided which direction we are going to take as far as whether to do a reversal or find a donor. Anyway, it has been 4 months since we have decided to stop using protection. Before this my cycles have been like clockwork, every 28 days. In the first month of unprotected sex, within a week of my ovulation date, I started having pregnancy symptoms, nausea, exhaustion, constipation, breast tenderness/soreness. A week after the symptoms started, my period started, a full week before it was due to show. Because of the weirdness to it, my OB/GYN sent me to have bloodwork done to check for pregnancy. The bloodwork was done 4 days after the bleeding started, and came back negative for pregnancy. The next month, my cycle was normal, the same with the following month. This month, once again I started in with breast tenderness (even was able to express a few drops out of one breast despite weaning my youngest 3 years ago), nausea, exhaustion, 10 days before my period was due, and low and behold, my period showed up 5 days early. Before these little episodes or whatever you want to call them, the only time I would ever experience breast tenderness/nipple soreness, nausea and exhaustion was when I was pregnant. The only pre-period symptoms I typically get are an anxious feeling a few days before and maybe some cramping.
So I guess the question that I am trying to ask is, in these two weird cycles, is there a chance that I could have been very very early in a pregnancy that just didn't stick? Is it a sign that something else is going on and I need to get checked out by the OB/GYN again? I do want to say that before going unprotected, both of us were STD free, and my OB/gyn had given me the green light to get pregnant after doing an exam and hormone testing to make sure every thing was within normal limits.
