My baby girl is two weeks old. I can't breastfeed her because of inverted nipples, she can't latch. So I've been pumping and feeding her with a bottle. The problem is that I didn't get a pump until last Friday because I had to wait on my insurance company. When my milk came in I was able to express enough to keep from drying up, but even now, I'm only able to pump about 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 Oz at a time. That's both boobs together, not each. And that's only if I wait several hours in between (like 3-5 hours). Right now, she is eating mostly formula with some breast milk to supplement, but I'd really like it to be the other was around. I just don't seem to be producing that much milk. Is there anything I can do to help my milk production? Am I just not pumping enough? I know very little about this, my son was formula feed, so this is completely new territory for me.
