I have a one month old baby, who is nursing fairly well, except for one thing that has started recently. On the right side, he seems to be becoming a lazy nurser. Sometimes he nurses properly, but more and more frequently, he will latch on and just lay there. He either sleeps, play with the nipple, or just watches what little of the world he can from there.
I don't think it's a problem with the amount of milk. I still get good let down (and while it's letting down, he nurses like crazy. But when the flow stops, he stops.) and can express a good amount. I think for some reason, he just doesn't want to do the work on that side. Latch issue? Laziness? Maybe it's not making as much milk as the left side?
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the issue might be? Any ideas on how to fix it? I was hoping to nurse him for a good long time, I don't think I'll be able to do that if he stops nursing on one side this early on!
