I am sorry! I was gone for a few months. My partner and I have been trying to conceive for about two years. We skipped some months due to conflicts and financial hardship. The HSG test showed that my right Fallopian tube is blocked, which my insurance denied the IVF treatment because my left Fallopian tube functions normal. We have gone through total 12 unsuccessful IUIs. We had to pay out of pocket for all IUI expenses, including frozen sperm donor. We are grateful that we are done with IUI! Now my insurance is able to cover the IVF treatment expenses but we had to pay the deductible and 20% co-insurance. The total was $3,191.42. I have been taking the birth control in the past two weeks. The last pill will be on 12/28. I have a blood work and an ultrasound appointment on 12/29. It is likely that I will start the shots on 12/31. I am pretty nervous about the process. I am trying my best to remain calm. I have been dealing with ongoing nausea from the birth control. I am worried that I would feel worse from IVF medications (shots). Please share your experiences regarding treatment of IVF, including the side effects from medications. I have applied and am approved for intermittent FMLA, in case I need to take a day off from work after the procedure. Is there anything else that I need to be aware of?
