I'm going nuts... DD1 STILL isn't potty trained. She turned 5 in January. It's not like she's having an accident every once in a while. It's every. single. day. Multiple times most days. She comes home from preschool soaking wet pretty much every time she goes. She doesn't seem phased by it at all until she see us - then we can immediately tell on her face if she's had an accident. She's not night trained either... what a joke - I can't get the girl to not pee her pants during the day, there's no surprise that she wakes up in a completely soaked pull up every morning. Even when she's home during the day, she will just randomly pee in her pants...and again, won't be upset about it. (no poop accidents though, thank GOD she's got that down!). Sometimes it's just a drop, sometimes it's like she just stood there and let her bladder go.
Talked to her doc and he told me that she's hit the age where it's no longer "normal" and is something we may want to get into in more detail. Even though her bowel movements are normal and regular, he suggested trying adding some flax seed oil to her diet. Said most pediatric urologists suggest trying to regulate the bowels first, as that can be a cause for "leaking" in girls her age. Issue is she's insanely pickey and aside from having to sit on her and shove it down her throat, I can't get her to take it... I can't add it to anything without her figuring it out either. I'm basically going insane here... HELP!
First - anyone have an alternative to flax seed oil to suggest?
Second - anyone have any ideas?! Should we just go to the urologist at this point?? Anyone been here before and have a success story for me???
Want to make note too that we've tried about everything... rewards, punishments, ignoring it, consequences, taking things away, even telling her that we need to take her to another doctor for some tests. We even tried going without a pull-up at night, as someone suggested that maybe that would help - if she got nighttime down first.... etc etc etc...
